Last but not least, here comes my photos from my third Olympics! I was pretty busy organizing the supporters so there aren’t that many photos and they aren’t that good but I have asked my friends to send me some better ones. In the mean time you might want to have a first look.
In adiditon to the team of French players I created for friendly games, we also created a French-Brazilian team called the Guanabara Handball. This team is registered for the state league and we already won the first tournament we played in!
I went back to Iguaçu at the end of June as I had a friend doing the Olympics Torch Relay over there. I didn’t carry the torch myself but it was really nice to see this from “inside” and get to discover this other aspect of the Games. Great time and great memories.
Not sure if you remember but last year I organized a team of French players to do a friendly game while my friend Xavier was in Rio for his honeymoon. This first game was a great success and since then we have had many other games against different teams around Rio.
As you know I’m a big huge fan of Handball and I couldn’t miss the opportunity to go and watch the Panamericano de Clubes in Buenos Aires. A very interesting competition with teams from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and even the US.
Buenos Aires ain’t so far from Rio so I took the opportunity of the Panamericano de Clube to go there for a week. Nice city but I was there during the winter so I’ll probably have to go back to enjoy it a bit more.
After two years in Brazil I finally went to the Iguaçu Falls! I was waiting for my family or some friends to come over and my parents did come in April so we went there together and I was happily surprise. There is much more to see than just the falls. Check out the photos below.
