BBQ at the Boulay Island

It has become a tradition for the GERSMA to have a big BBQ at the end of the diving season and luckily I was in Abidjan when the club organized the one for the end of the 2011-2012 season. Great food and great time with the guys from the club!

Inter-school Tournaments in Abidjan

Organized by DK Coeur Afrique and the MESAD, these inter-school tournaments took place in four area of Abidjan: Abobo, Koumassi, Port and Yopougon. Ten schools ended up participating with a boys team and a girls team. A great success for a first edition!

Back to Abidjan with DK

I’ve been living in Abidjan for more than a year between 2010 and 2011 so going back to Abidjan in 2012 was great! I got the opportunity to catch up with a lot of friends and to visit the schools of the “Handball pour Tous” project that I launched there in 2011.

Around the Ghanaian Coast

The cheapest way to go from England to Ivory Coast is to fly to Ghana and to take public transports from Accra to Abidjan. A great trip and an amazing experience! Especially if you have the time to stop in some of the forts and castles around the Ghanaian Coast.

Tournament in Liverpool

The Liverpool Tournament is an international tournament held at the end of each season. The players from my Handball team, the Ruislip Eagles, are used to go there so we did so this year as well and had an amazing time. We also came third so it was a very succesfull tournament!

A couple of days in Albania

Albania does not have that many tourist, especially in winter, and it was really nice to spend a few days there on my way from Belgrade to Rome. People were really nice and friendly!

A couple of days in Montenegro

After speding a few days in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I went to Montenegro via Dubrobnik in Croatia and had a nice fews days going down the coast and visiting Kotor. The weather was pretty bad though and I’ll definitely have to go back there.
